Ottawa U Convocation

One of our family friends received her PHD yesterday at the NAC. The whole ceremony was about 2 1/2 hours. As usual, I ended up finding a pen and started drawing on the program booklet (which was as thick as a notebook). This is what I came up with for 2 hours and 15 minutes lol.

Sandy Hill Life Drawing June 4th

I went to the Sandy Hill Life Drawing for the first time. These are some of the drawing that I did:

We had 20 minutes to do this one.

30 minutes was given to do this one.

We were given 30 minutes for this one too.

Life Drawing May 30th

This is my first life drawing since school finished on April 25th, 2008. I was also pretty tired through that class, so you will not see an awesome life drawing yet. I will be going to more friday night life drawings so I can improve myself.

This was done on May 30th and was given one hour to do it.

Zee Elephant

So I was looking at my Facebook display, and was thinking of drawing a character instead of all the cars I keep drawing :P

I realized that I liked drawing animals, after the animal assignment we had in pre-animation, so I decided to draw one. I coloured it with coloured pencils, but it did not turn out as great as I had thought, so I used photoshop to colour it in.

This coloring was done with a mouse, so its not the greatest, but it looks better than it did when I coloured it with the coloured pencils.

Let me know what you guys think!

PORTFOLIO

Well, pre-animation is over and its portfolio submission time. I had a great time in this program, and made soo many new friends who shared their great artistic skills. I'd like to thank Rich Lauzon, Alan Stewart and Teo Ciarla for teaching all of us everything that we need to know to get into animation.

I also thank all the other professors and friends who helped me along the way and for their encouragement!

Since this is my first time with a blog, I'll keep posting anything that I do from now on.

Below you will see the pieces I submitted for my portfolio.

Have a great summer!

Here are my preliminary drawings I did at the beginning of pre-animation. This will give you a sense as to how much one can improve in 8 months!
